From classroom to clinic to corrective lenses — a streamlined process that puts children first.
Trained volunteers visit schools across Jamaica to identify students who may need vision correction through quick, non-invasive screenings.
Students who need further evaluation receive comprehensive eye examinations from licensed ophthalmologists and optometrists.
Prescription eyewear is produced and distributed directly to students — at no cost to their families.
Led by Volunteers Incorporated, the 2000 Visions Project aims to grant more than 2,000 children and young adults — who face financial barriers — access to essential prescription eyewear. Our mission is to improve lives and educational achievement through comprehensive vision care across all 14 parishes of Jamaica.
